Hans Abrahamsen (DK) b. 1952

Hans Abrahamsen has as a student of Per Nørgård and Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen further developed the ”new simplicity” that his teachers worked with in the 1970s. In Abrahamsen's case this has led to a small but concentrated production of highly original works with moving lyricism and fantasy.
Nacht und Trompeten is amongst the orchestral works that have received international success.
